    Dear Patients

After practicing Optometry in Lamorinda for the past 34 years, I have decided it is time to retire.  As of August this year, I will no longer be seeing patients at Lamorinda Optometry.  I am very grateful for all the years I have practiced Optometry in Lamorinda, and thankful for the wonderful patients I have had the opportunity to serve.

I’m excited to be able to spend more time traveling, sailing, biking and most of all to share more time with my wife, children and grandchildren.  I am also saddened to not be able to continue to see my patients and care for their eye health and vision.  Thank you for the trust that you have placed in my hands over the years, I have enjoyed taking care of your eyes and getting to know you.

Dr. Nathan Orr was my associate for over 7 years and purchased my practice in 2014.  I am confident that Dr. Orr will continue to practice Optometry with the highest regards for your eye health and vision needs and that you will have as much confidence in him as you have shown to me all of these years.

    Best wishes

    Richard W. Baker
